if this could be answered, it would be much appreciated, as im new to the racing scheme of things

from my understanding, the clubman lites, because their are a lot of riders, are seperated into two classes, A&B?

i know pro lites awards the best rider, whoever finished on top of the points at the end of the state mx rounds, is this the case with the inters and clubman classes too, does each class have a points series suring the state rounds, or just the pro lites? what im basically saying, at the end of the state mx rounds, is their a clubman lites and inter lites champ?

ive been riding for a while, but no idea how state rounds work

cheers

Yah dude, every class gets points for the season and there are awards at the end of year wind up. It is only the Pro classes that are considered "Championship Classes"

It looks like it's time to seriously consider a stand alone vets and womans championships run on the saturday at the same track, obviously this makes a lot more work for the hosting club and an aweful lot more officials required to run both saturday and sunday races.

By taking the vets out there would then be room for two classes of clubman lites on the sunday.

It's all hypothetical but perhaps it deserves some thought as there would appear to be quiet a few vets out there who would ride in a stand alone series ie; riding against others of similar ability.

Like hondamad stated it is so easy sitting at home coming up with ideas but to actually instigate them is an awesome job, so well done to those who constantly put thier heads on the chopping block year after year and all as volunteers.

why not run practice 3 laps (heaps to check out circuit) , then first round is qualifying eg 4-5 laps . 2x 15-20 min motos. for champs and non qualifiers get 4-5 lap races.

top 40 ( regardless of grading ) make the main event races
next 40 qualify times make b grade race
next 40 qualify times make c grade race

non qualifiers dont race ( but hey still get 3 laps practice and a 5 lap qualifyer ) and get 50% entry fee refund and have to stay for flagging in main events or no refund and go home.

this will also help with flaggies at events

well vets seem to work with the format they run now.
quads i reckon they should have the whole day to themselves and run on saturday . they dont cut-up the track much and would be easy to quick grade after they race ( does make more work for track grading ) but they would finish early anyway . plus it would promote alot more quad riders , as im sure alot of people are holding back from riding quads due to ridding cut up 2 wheeler tracks.

atm its a 10 event classes with a heap of dissapointed c lites guys (which is the foot in the door class for new riders and fresh senoirs , lets not scare them away)
if we split the quads to sat im sure not too many would be dissapointed ( no offense to anyone )
you could have a 10 or less event class sunday
eg pro open
b open
2x c open ( if needed )
pro lites
b lites
2x c lites
vets
women
equals 10 .. some classes could be reduced on numbers eg c open possibly only need 1. and not sure if womens class are keen for all 6 rounds ?? ( i cant speak for the womens class as its fairly new )

this setup also might promote riders to cross over and race quads sat and solo's sunday.

and as for the excuse of workers on saturdays .. its only 6 events per year , out of 52 weeks , im sure most people get 10 sickies per year stop wasting them on monday morning hangovers ! :) im sure alot of church goers miss mass on sundays to race.

hey im only making suggestings so i hope i dont offend people just trying to wack some ideas out there to help the sport .. ( ive only be racing 15 odd years )

thanks mate.

ive tried searching for results from last year on the points after a state round with the intermediate and clubman classes in the lites, but had no luck. i can find the results of the races, just not the overall points. for example, after two state rounds, where can you check how your going points wise?
