Thumbs down EXCLUSIVE: Super X lacks committment to return in 2011

The ongoing battle between Western Australia and the eastern seaboard continues this time within the world of Super X.

Speaking last night on MX WEEKLY, the promoter of the Super X, Global Action Sports could not give a committment, nor a guarantee as to whether the Super X would return to Perth in 2011.

This news comes after announcing that all the teams and riders had decided to take a break from a Perth round this year due to the logistics of travelling to WA, as well as the huge costs of live television, comes the announcement that Super X would be taking the sport to other areas and venues "to keep it fresh".

Global Action Sports, Managing Director Mike Porra said, " I certainly cannot give a committment that Super X will return to Perth in 2011, what I can say is that Super X will be back in the future. We have not looked at any plans for next year, so I cannot give an undertaking of that sort at this stage, but we will be back to Perth in the future".

The podcast of this show will be up soon and you can listen to the interview in its entire form to see what Mike Porra and Global Action Sport have to say about Perth, Super X, Chad Reed, and much, much more.

So do we sit back and do nothing or do we fight ? if so how do we go about it ? should we not support the sponsors of these events and instruct all riders that when you buy these products that you are not helping wa mx .Shame on ma australia how are our kids going to be inspired to become the next aussie champ when they cant even watch a live mx event in wa ? more questions than answers ,if anyone out there has some other ideas on how we the people can make a difference please tell us how ?

Thanks shan i will fire of a few emails and we will see what response i get .I cant just sit back and do nothing we all have to fight this injustice and all riders out there should be sending there thoughts through to these eastern states promotors. If we all stand as one and send a strong message to promotors and sponsors leave wa out and we we will cancel our pay tv and we will advise riders to remove any stickers of the mx and sx sponsors and also not to buy anything that sponsors these events . yes it does seem a bit harsh but what they are doing to wa mx it not on ,i love my home state and i love wa mx so i will do anything to send a message that we are not happy and we will not lay down and take this crap.

Dear Kevin

Just curious how you manage to call your series the MX "Nationals" when there's a very heavy East Coast bias?

Shouldnt you label your series the "MX East Coast Championships"??

Regards
Rob Campbell

I kept it short & sweet.. Let the race come to you.. etc etc
P.S. I felt no need to divulge my location.. its a national interest.. not just a local one.
